October 2026 Release

October expands the Verification API, introduces a read-only Buyer API, and adds more self-service options in the Portal.

Verification API Enhancements

Purpose

Integration partners can now cancel a pending supplier verification through the API and immediately send a new one. Partners can also retrieve the current ACH authorization disclosure through the API and send the supplier’s attestation with a verification request, including the IP address and time the supplier agreed. Attestation is optional, and a request sent without one remains pending.

Benefit

Fix a mistaken or disputed verification request right away instead of waiting for it to resolve, and capture supplier authorization within your own workflow.

Buyer API for Integration Partners

Purpose

Integration partners can now retrieve buyers through the Buyer API, which is read-only. You can list your buyers or retrieve one by ID, and each response shows whether the buyer is active or inactive. Inactive buyers are left out of the list unless you ask for them.

Benefit

Know whether a buyer is still active directly from your integration.

Open Enrollment Links Retired

Purpose

Open links to the supplier enrollment forms no longer work. ACH enrollment forms are now sent only from a supplier profile in the Portal, to the primary contact on file. Individual and Student suppliers can enroll through this self-service flow. Business suppliers are not yet part of self-service, so for a business enrollment or ACH change, open a support case or have the supplier contact Finexio directly.

Benefit

Send enrollment forms from the supplier profile instead of sharing a link, so each form reaches the primary contact on file.

Manage Supplier Contacts in the Portal

Purpose

Portal users with supplier edit access can now add a primary contact when a supplier has none, edit a supplier’s existing contacts, and manage each contact’s notification preferences. You can save a supplier category on its own, and suppliers paid by check can be edited without a contact on file. For suppliers paid by ACH, card, or Finexio Express, a primary contact email is required, and an enrollment form can be sent only when that email is on file.

Benefit

Keep supplier contact details current yourself, without a support ticket, and categorize check suppliers without being blocked by missing contact details.

Clear Reasons for Returned Checks

Purpose

When a bank returns a check, Payment Details and the refund email now include the return reason description alongside the return reason code. Checks returned before this release do not show a description.

Benefit

Understand why a check was returned without decoding the reason code or contacting support.

Automatic Refunds for Virtual Card Credits

Purpose

When a supplier returns funds to a virtual card after a payment completes, Finexio now detects the credit and refunds the buyer automatically.

Benefit

Refunds no longer wait for a manual review.

Fixes for Supplier Edits, Card Payments, and Batch Invoices

Purpose

Portal users can now save changes to suppliers that previously showed a validation error on the Remittance email field, such as an updated address. Virtual card payments no longer fail to issue when invoice notes contain special characters, such as long dashes. Batch invoice submissions with a validation error beyond the tenth invoice now return a validation error instead of a server error.

Benefit

Fewer blocked edits, fewer failed card payments, and error messages your integration can act on.

We are thankful for your feedback and value our partners’ insights as we continue to improve our platform. If you have any questions about these releases, please reach out to Finexio Support or your partner success manager.
